Your physical core is your emotional core. 

This is not talked about much in the movement, workout, vocal, anxiety, asthma or trauma recovery areas, and it is absolutely paramount.
Working external musculature gives one armour. Great - in those moments where you need it, it can be very important.
But centeredness, self-confidence, emotional stability, self-actualization and personal empowerment? These come from feeling strong on the inside: Diaphragm. Psoas. Quadratus Lumborum. Pelvic floor. Para-spinals. And movement is only the first step.
The first additive key is the respiratory system - the most effective and efficient way in to both the physical and emotional centers. When you add the voice to core-based movement and diaphragmatic breathing the work becomes exponentially more effective. As we reintegrate the three human creative systems - body, breath and voice, personal empowerment tends to skyrocket.
As I’ve said before in previous posts, as we halt the over-use of the external armour sixpack, and begin to actively use the exhalation + voice to move we are practicing the strongest core work possible... because we have added personal vocal expression (learning to express boundaries) to the mix. And we can do it anywhere, anytime, making it less threatening and work-like, and more life-integrative and fun.
This is a major component of The Wilson Method for voice, acting, anxiety, panic attacks, asthma and trauma recovery.

The Wilson Method therapeutic system is unique because it is teaching you how to do the work yourself - you are learning how to empower your SELF. The more ease-based strength you feel rising from your deep core, the better your posture will be, the more free and confident you feel, the more emotionally stable you will be, the stronger your voice will be, and therefore, the more empowered you will be. The Wilson Method shows you how to re-connect your body, breath and voice back together so that you get out of your head and FIND FLOW. You then learn how to do find this feeling yourself, increasing your energy and expanding your self-awareness, which in turn leads to true personal empowerment - because YOU did it. People will hear you more, listen to you more, trust you more. You will shine brighter.
